Problem with Bosch Hob

Hi,

I have Bosch hob (model PPP616B91E) that has problems with the big burner. Sometimes it doesn’t start, I need to keep the button pressed for > 5 sec and then it starts with a huge flame. Other times I have to stop and try several times till it starts. (and sometimes i just give up and don’t use it!!)

Other times it starts perfectly normal…

What can the problem be? I’m worried that if i call someone it will work perfectly as I don’t really know when it’s gonna work..

Dirty around the sparker, clean carefully to avoid breaking the ceramic sparker though.

Check base for debris around jet, clean burner crown and lid for corrosion. System like old car ignition if poor spark, poor starting, same principles.

Hi, the hob is just a few months old and I keep it very clean, it has been doing this since it was first installed.

Then get it looked at under the terms of the guarantee.
