Ok I’ve just signed up-to this forum, I’ve been away for a few days and my wife phones me to tell me the electrics have blown in the kitchen and she had the council around and they said its the dishwasher. She said there was a bang noise and a bit of a burning smell. I’ve pulled the dishwasher out had to drain some of the water left in it. I’m just wondering if someone can shed some light on this? I’ve read different things from heating element and so on…

I look forward to hearing from you thank you

Well as i’ve pulled it out and got the remaining water out i’ve changed the fuse and it seems to be working at the moment. Though i had put it on from the start and it stopped. So i moved it to point 3 where it had actually failed. I’ll report back on if it finishes the cycle! thanks

The MAINS FILTER UNIT is the most likely reason for the failure by the way. 😉

Well it’s time to either call a local independent repairer out to take a look or unplug the machine and take a look inside yourself if you’re able.

Well being what time of the year it is, i’d much rather open it up myself and have a look. I’m pretty good with electrics and so on. So i wouldnt mind taking a look to be honest.
