Gets stuck at end of program showing 1 minute but pump still operating even when I open the door.

I read all the advice about what it could be on here and my husband removed the filters and checked the impeller. It worked normally a couple of times but is now doing same again.

Is this an easy thing for my husband to fix or do I need to call an engineer out? How much am I likely to be charged. The machine is almost 3 years old and up to now have had no problems at all with it.

    Cheers

Drain pump running regardless usually means that the flood protection system is operating. This is caused by water gtetting into the plastic base under the machine.

If hubby is a reasonably fit and healthy specimin, unplug the machine and tip it back to a good angle with towels down to catch the water. This should reset the float mechanism. If the problem repeats, there is a leak problem and you should get some help. Off the top of my head I can think of 7 different potential leak points and some are pretty obscure…..

As for cost, if you stick with Bosch you will pay a high (but fixed) charge. If you choose an independent you should discuss rates when you make the phone call; they vary widely across the country.
