Participant[h=2]hello , as title , i have had this dishwasher for 10 years now and its worked flawlessy uptill recently, i normally just use the “rapide” cylce, but now and again use the intensive with cleaning solution , recently however, when i set the maching on a “rapide” cycle. after about a hour (should only last 35 mins) i notice the power button led and the eco led flashing. any one shed any light into this?.[/h] thank you

Moderatordont know the order of the lights so cant say
we need to know where the lights are in relation to each other
you can look up dishwasher fault codes on the site or post a pic so we can see

Participantthanks again for the reply, wife says that, its not a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} issue it might be ok for a few times then put on the errors, so its a bit intermittent. is there a nailed on test i could try, , just looked and a brand new motor heater element is 40 quid ish , cheers again

Moderatorrun it and see if it gets hot
if yes then it cant be element
check whether you have it plumbed to hot or cold water as you may think its heating but its not on a hot feed

Participantjust looked under the sink, there are two pipes, one goes from the cold water pipe, and another one to the sink drain off, so its cold water only,
the 30 minute “rapide cycle is the quickest , ill put it on this cycle and open the door after 20 mins, if its hot inside then the heaters heating the water.
but again it could be a failing unit not a terminal one?.May 7, 2022 at 6:32 pm #482258electrofix
Moderatorheater either work or not

Participantagain thanks for the reply , i put it on a 30 minute wash, after a bit i opened the door and the water was hot, all though i did notice a weird rythmic noise coming from the bottom of the machine. (sounded like slurping so i suppose thats normal, just never heard it before) , but that could just be me , and the machine did a full cycle no probs. one thing i noticed was the smart meter we got went from
415 watts to 2246 watts while the dish washer was heating , but then the kettle only throws it to 3000, strange what you dont notice, so i think the heaters ok
again thanks for the reply
