I have a Neff U461N2GB/05 double oven. The fan oven has stopped heating up so I ordered a new heating element (has been replaced once before). Have bought it direct from Neff so it is a genuine part. Tried replacing it today, spade connections were hard to get off but managed it. However new element does not warm up either. Before you tell me I might have connected the wires wrongly, I have got hubby to check and he has also tried putting the spade connectors and wires on in a variety of other permutations but still no joy. Could there be something else faulty?

Now that is scary because if you don’t wire it back up one for one you risk blowing the TOC and the switchgear.

It is not unusual for a new element to be faulty (even that genuine one) So that needs checking for continuity first of all. Then you might want to check the TOC ( thermal overload cut out) and if the 2 appear OK then you’ve either wired in wrongly or the switchgear is at fault.

    😕

You also need to check to make sure you have not pulled any wires off the mains terminal Block when replacing the element.
