    Hello

I am having a problem with my Servis Dishwasher and was wondering if anyone could help.

Basically, the dishwasher starts the washing programme regularly but soon after it fills with water and starts washing, it stays permanently on the same part of the programme, without moving further – it basically keeps washing on and on, unless we manually make it go one step further in the washing programme.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

    thanks

Does it heat or drain out the water properly?

Also is the timer mechanical or digital?

    Regards

If we push the timer forward it will drain, the water heats but not as much as it seemed to do before.

    timer is mechanical

well sometimes when the heat sensor does not sense the right temerpature it may stick.
What about the rinse aid?Sometimes that will give you the trouble.

The only other thing could be is the timer itself.

thanks Fairdeal, rinse aid is still the same, we haven’t changed it since we had the dishwasher… so I guess it’s either a problem of temperature or timer? Do you reckon it’s going to be very expensive to call someone in to take a look at it?

Well first of all how old is it? Is it M4306?
where do you live, see the repairs section to see if you have a local engineer. It is worth someone having look for sake of a call out(£20ish)
If it is the heat sensor it will not be that expensive but the timer on its on cost around £70.
