Problem with Siemens se64630gb-17

Hi
have a siemens se64630 that fills then just stops . Can then hear a low hum . Only thing I can then do is do a manual reset to then empty the machine … any ideas ? Many thanks

this is an old system so the first thing to check is the motor

take off the right hand side
find the main motor and see if its turning

if yes it will be the main wash impellor gone

parts arer not too expensive but its a big strip to fit

Hi Dave ,

yep motor solid . Thank you for such a quick answer . Motor is solid so assuming it’s that that is the problem . Which given that it was not used for the last 6months will not of helped . Motors look around 180 pounds so given its 18years old might mean time for a new dishwasher .

how solid it the motor ?

if it seems to spring a bit then the water seals have a habit of sticking if left unused

if you spring it back and forth it will normally break free and possibly be ok after that
