Hi all, bendix BDW53 about 3 years old. Like a fool that i am,i put an empty hand cleaner bucket in so it would be er,cleaned. How many suds?? anyway…next time i used the dishwasher,it wouldn’t fill. By the way i have since found this site and have read all about the IWMS so i’m expert right!

In the past i have removed lower pipes and it worked, can’t remember what the prob was but it worked so i did that again, didn’t work this time!

Tested the pressure switch and it’s ok,is it water pressure or air?
The overfill, well….sit down cos this will make you gasp 😀 perhaps 🙁 i removed the inlet valve and connected up with water and lickle bit of electric 😯 and it woked, filled bucket in no time 😆 but i don’t know if it would over come some forward pressure, like in the bucket it’s freefall, but the IWMS? does the valve have to work against some pressure? can i have a volunter voluntere voluntier (how do you sppell it) to stick thier finger over the end see if it still works? 😀

Could it be the nut behind the wheel? or the diaphram on the side of inlet valve, took it to bits and….no wiser

This here IWMS, er there’s nothing init is there? tried to make sense of it and failed

I tried running machine with overfill disconnected….no good
dito with pencil shoved up the pipe from IWMS to inlet valve me thinking that if it dedects no pressure it will switch off

Golly gosh, bet there going to be plenty tellings offs for playing with electric stuff 🙁

please help or just direct me to the nurses,i have spent hours and hours and you wouldn’t believe me if i told you how many
and worse, just bought new rollers for the stupid trays 😥

    Hi
Given the information supplied I must guide you to use an engineer from the link below.

We advise that Live testing is not to be undertaken, but does anyone read http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=4357 at the top of the forum 😕 :rolls:

    Regards
    Greg

    Re: Problemo

Thanks for that Greg,i quite agree, however i’m an electrician and believe it or not, busy doing PAT testing at the mo, very dull but warm 😆

The IWMS, is it possible to clean it out with drain cleaner,an air line or lots of patience? i have been quoted £63 for a new one, bit of a gamble if it’s not guilty sir 😕

The inlet valve,if i disconnect the small tube and block it (the tube) it should work ok yes? it doesn’t, so what’s left? the IWMS?

    ever yours, Patrick
