I have a diplomat adp8322 that is not washing. All filters have been checked and are clean, so to are the rotating arms. Water is entering the machine but seems to be just staying in the bottom and not being used. It does heat up though and drains as usual in all programs. However i have noticed a rumbling and a low pitched hum coming from the appliance that sounds as if an electric motor is stuck. Any sugestions please.
    many thanks, Marlon

Pretty much answered your own question, Marlon. The circulation pump will have failed – it is the infamous “Askol” type. This is no longer used and is replaced by a “conventional” pump, p/no 4812 361 58334.

    Power off if investigating further.

thanks for the prompt reply. Is the instalation of the new part within the bounds of diy, or will i have to get in a mechanic? Knowing roughly the price of the pump and labour costs and of course the dreaded vat, i am wondering if it is worth it.
    many thanks again
