Problems with Smeg slimline DWF 44 SS.1

We have a Smeg slimline dishwasher (DWF 44 SS.1 / 10135) in stainless steel. We inhereted it when we moved into a new place. It has been working fine but has recently developed some problems:

(1) If you put the dishwasher on cycle phase 1 it now stops before moving onto phase 2 and requires you to move the dial round manually to 2 (didn’t used to do this)

(2) The powder dispenser no longer opens automatically during the cycle (it is not jammed as can be opened manually)

(3) The salt container in the bottom of the dishwasher doesn’t seem to have any water in it (used to be full when you opened it) and the dishwasher is now seeming to consume masses of salt.

Any thoughts and advice about what this could be and potential cost to fix would be appreciated. We are weighing up fix vs replace.
