I left my Bosch SGV5613GB/12 dishwasher running a regular wash program overnight. When I got up the program was still running showing 1min remaining. I left it for a few minutes and it still shows 1 min remaining. I can hear what sounds like a pump running, the machine is empty of water with just a small amount of water in the filter. If I switch off and and back on it still shows 1min remaining, and the pump noise continues.
Any ideas ? ❓
Underfilling issues will prevent the heater from working – the computer will eventually time out and abort showing one minute remaining. If the transfer pipe in the machine is badly blocked, water will overflow from the water level control chamber and run into the base of the machine, eventually operating the flood protection system – a constantly running drain pump.
Thanks for the advice. I’ll try taking it apart tomorrow, and see if anything looks dirty or blocked…
I did try resetting the programme as the user manual suggested, and the timer is now cleared, and I can select any of the programmes. However the pump still runs continuously.
Hi,
For information, I took the side cover off, and found a little piece of plaster/grout had just fallen onto the red plastic rod connected to the float valve and was stopping it moving so that the float valve was stuck on, keeping the pump on. Seems to work fine now it is removed.
