hi,
our proline EF6200W/3 oven has stopped heating up. grill works fine, fan is OK, would i be right in assuming the thermostat is number 1 suspect here? had it about 2 years, i`m fine with fitting parts to domestic machines, but i`m not sure what the problem is. Cheapest i`ve seen a replacement thermostat on`t net is about £50, so i need to ascertain it is actually that which is at fault! argh! any help appreciated…

Sounds more like the fan element than the thermostat.
Try Repairs@ for a local engineer if you’d rather have a professional diagnose & repair.
Power off please if you examine / repair yourself :plug:

This is a Brandt made oven – element is p/no 76×3719, scary expensive – there is an alternative, HM14103 at a much more acceptable price – email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for pricing and ordering.
