Proline PCH 465T-U Electric Hob – suddenly stopped working

I purchased a Proline PCH465T-U Electric Hob from Comet Group on 13th January 2012 and installed in Feb 2012.

It has worked perfectly well until 3rd August 2013 without any warning failed to switch on. I’ve checked the fuses and wiring connections and there is no problems with either.

Please advise who I can contact to get repaired/replaced under warranty or what the problem may be? :rolls:

Hi,

The chances of getting any repair under warranty are zero. Less than zero in fact.

So, you can guess what the chances are of a replacement, even although at the age that would have been extremely unlikely in any event.

Proline was a Comet owned brand completely and with them gone there is no warranty in existence. Therefore, there is nobody to contact, they no longer exist.

The only thing I can suggest is to have a look about inside the hob and see if you can see the problem or, get one of the repairers to have a look at it for you but, it will cost you to do that.
