    Hi,
My 2 year old Proline PDW080 pumps out, fills, heats the water, circulates the water through the bars, then stays at this point forever!
The Timer stops in the same position each time, and the usual noise from the timer stops also. If I advance the timer 1 notch, the dispencer opens and the machine then completes the cycle.
I have fitted a new timer, but the problem has not gone away. I get the impression that the timer may be waiting for an input ( temp?), but I’m not sure.
Any advice would be gratefully received!

    Thanks
    Dave

Almost certainly a timer fault. The sequence for the heated wash sequence should go drain, fill, circulate, “clunk” as the dispenser opens, then heat. The mechanical timer will stop for the heating phase, then advance when the thermostat completes the circuit.

Unfortunately, this is the usual shoddy Chinese stuff, so weigh up how much you want to spend to repair it – a timer is likely to be £60+, then VAT……

That nice Helo_75 may be able to advise you further as he deals with these most days.

    Hi,
thanks for the reply, but the timer is brand new! It seems strange that the new timer is stopping at exactly the same position as the old one ( I marked the position on the outer dial). Would there be anything that would cut off the supply to the timers drive at this position?

    Thanks

Probably…… Wait and see what Helo says. Anything is possible with the Haier dishwasher!

theres a cut out…. just at the back near the heater… thats the usual suspect
    its screws int the cabinet
a simple continuity test will prove its function

    Hi,
thanks for the reply, I found 2 conponents that screw into the undeside of the machine, marked KSD 201. Both tested ok for continuity. what I did notice is some burning around the element, but it was not open circuit ( 90-100 ohms).
Is there a temp sensor that I can test, as I think the element is working ‘of sorts’!

    Thanks
    Dave
