    Hi

Please bear with me as I know very little about dishwashers. I have the misfortune to have a slimline silver Proline PDW801 dishwasher. It has broken after just over a year.

When it’s switched on there is definately power to it. I’ve cleaned out the filter in the floor of the washer. It makes noises, lets water in, pumps it out etc. when I move the knob round through the cycle. It just gets stuck half way round and makes an odd tiking sort of noise. I have checked the water supply and that’s ok, I’ve check the outlet and that pumps ok.Is there anything else I can try to get the thing working before it goes in a skip?

I’m changing my kitchen in 6 months time so I don’t want to buy another slimline model just for six months.

    thanks in advance.

Establish whether the water is being heated and come back to us

    Hi

The water is not being heated. When it’s switched on the dial moves round and it makes noises but it doesn’t seem to doing the full cycle.

    hope this helps

Safety cut-out tripped = no heat. Some machines have a re-setable one with a little red stalk to press, of no stalk, it’s a one shot device. Remove plug and left hand side panel and look under tub to find out.

Spares@ukwhotegoods.co.uk will be able to supply a suitable replacement if needed.

In future, do not use multifunction tablets as they generate too much froth. Stick with single action tabs, powder of Fairy Bursts.
