    Circuit board on this ( Indesit clone? ) has come adrift from it’s alleged supporting bracket and shorted on drum, blowing components and frightening wife. What is this board actually for and anyone know part # and approx cost before I decide to chuck it or not

    Hotpoint dryer, badged for Comet. PCB is the start/run board, p/no 1702778, £20 some from memory – email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.
