    Hi,

    Question for you all please…

    I have a PTC Relay on my Samsung side by side Fridge Freezer – RSA1WTMH.

    I can see the part code on the relay that fits onto the compressor, with the thermal overload, is PTHTM33OMD3

    The data sheet for the part shows a resistance of 33 Ohms.

    I have a non running compressor on my unit and I am wondering if the PTC Relay is at fault and hence why my compressor is not kicking in at all.

    Upon measuring across the 2 terminals on the relay I am getting around 1500 Ohms.

    I am trying to rule the relay in or out, as far as being responsible for the non running compressor.

    Anyone know what resistance I should read across the terminals of this PTC relay when it is removed from the Fridge Freezer and tested for resistance ?

    Any help or advice would be appreciated.
