ParticipantOven Neff U15E54S0GB/01 FD 8906 000072 – About 13 years old.
Whilst waiting for my dinner to cook we heard a loud “puff” sound and the oven mcb tripped out.
Reset mcb, reset clock, reset minute minder and reset oven to cook – oven continued to cook however I then noticed the following:
Minute minder beeper has stopped working – you can view it counting down and when it reaches zero there is no beeping, but display legend does flash on/off as normal. Assume the speaker that emits the beeping is within the clock module – please advise.
Secondly, we noticed bottom oven light not working. Replaced with new bulb and still not working.
Switched off oven via mcb for 10 mins, turned back on and reset clock but above faults are still present.
I assume the clock module requires replacement
Don’t know why bottom oven light does not work despite changing bulb twice (just to be sure we didn’t have a faulty bulb from new).
From reading forum I assume this is an issue with the control pcb.Anyone else diagnosed these issues and have a working solution.
It is a dilema as to whether have Neff come out and repair or to buy a new oven.
I am an electronics tech but don’t deal with ovens, if its just a case of replacing clock module I could probably do that.
Haven’t taken oven out of housing yet to do a visual inspection. Thanks

ParticipantJust thought I’d update my original post in case it helps anyone else with similar fault.
Having now inspected the oven I can confirm the fault was with the PCB part no 00658000 which is the control board at the top of the oven with the relays on.
I can only assume that the oven lamps I had to replace blown bulbs were cheap rubbish ones which when used shorted causing a mains spike. It has taken out one of the relays which was causing the bottom oven lamp not to power up. There is burnt tracking around the relay and the side of the relay was black with soot.
Additionally, a 220 ohm resistor next to the sounder buzzer device has gone open circuit. I haven’t tested the sounder buzzer device but that may also be faulty as it is barely audible, but this may be due to the open circuit resistor next to it.
Rather than mess around changing surface mount components which are virtually impossible to repair successfully, I have ordered a new board which is around £150.
Hope this helps others.
Thanks for reply 🙂
