ParticipantDoes any one use QER? And how have you found them, I haven’t used them in years and this week I have a job to fit an AEG D/W module ordered by the customer and if this works OK possibly another one for a Bosch D/W.

It would be nice to have a reliable supply of re-con dish modules as EMW dont do many. TBH, i stopped using QER many years ago due to just about everything i tried to order not being held in stock.
This not only meant an extra visit to a customer, but also, i always think it looks a bit suspect having to take a part away, you can practically hear them thinking “bet he’s really taking that to his garden shed to bodge a repair on it” that of course, only happens occasionally 😉
Anyway’ DO let us know how you get on! 😉 😆

ParticipantRe: QER Electronics
I am currently in dispute with them over a Zanussi board I sent in for repair. Machine was over-filling and I had checked the pressure vessel, hose, switch etc so thought it must be the module. The board came back with a bill for the full repair fee. When I put the board back in the fault remained. I phoned QER to tell them and they said to sent it back again. In the meantime I was advised on here that the heater forms part of the level control circuitry on these Zanussis. Sure enough, the heater turned out to be open circuit and a new heater rectified the filling fault. I am willing to pay QER a reduced fee for testing the module but they ignore my emails and keep sending bills for the full repair fee. If any QER staff are on this forum they are welcome to respond with their side of the story.

I agree QER tend to be a bit pricey nowadays, I’ts nearly the cost of a full repair even if it turns out to be fault not found on testing 😥 .

ParticipantOrdered a board from EMW in error. To send it back is now 10.85, was £5 odd a few months ago. Seems a bit steep to me considering the margins were working from.
(Thanks EMW, sorted now they had me down as a non trade cust thats why was £10.85)July 26, 2008 at 7:11 pm #258404Bill

STOPPED USING THEM BECAUSE THEY CANNOT REPAIR ANY OF THE MORE DIFFICULT MODULS.

ParticipantRe: QER Electronics
Looking forward to this job going up in puff of smoke then 🙁 The annoying thing is the new module was £66 which is not a bad price for AEG. And as it was a integrated machine I thought £125 would be a fair price for a repair,

Agree with all re QER unhelpful expensive, having to pay full price if wrong diagnoses stopped using them a while back. I find EMW better in all areas..

ParticipantRe: QER Electronics – Availability from stock
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this topic.
Yes, we do have difficulty maintaining a range of modules in stock – especially for washing machines and dishwashers – though we do have a good range of refrigeration pcbs available.
The reason is the vast range of types and variants, often programmed to a particular model.
Bear in mind, though, that if you are buying new, you will have the hassle of programming the module.
If you are sending to us for repair, you wont have that problem.Nevertheless, we do try to keep the most popular types in stock, and also offer cash for your unwanted ones (http://www.qer.biz/wanted.asp)
You can check the availabilty of any module 24/7 on our search page http://www.qer.biz/prodRepairs.asp

ParticipantRe: QER Electronics: Full Price if Not repaired ??? – No!!
Thanks to those contributing to the discussion.
Our policy re No Fault Found is as follows:
Discount of 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} in those cases where we have carried out a full functional test.
Otherwise £4.50 flat fee (plus £3.50 if you want it returned)If, on the other hand, for a repair that you think is still faulty, you can return it under guarantee at any time up to 12 months later.
If it so happens that we can’t find anything wrong, we’ll either refund you, or return it to you, whichever you want.Hope this clears up any misunderstandings
