Qualtex 30mm hotpoint spider & bearing kit

For anyone who may be interested qualtex have now started to sell a hotpoint 30mm drum spider & bearing kit.I think the pt no is unt28 but I’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure on that.

Indeed it does appear to be a new line – currently out of stock with a part no of quaunt21

The question is though are the 30mm spider & bearings up to the job ? After all hotpoint must have made the spider obsolete for a reason 😕

I have found the 30mm bearings I have fitted even after taking alot of time cleaning the spider up the bearings fail soon after, not so with the 35mm.

On all of them I have had to go back and fit a 35mm rear tub and spider.

I would have serious doubts about fitting a new 30mm spider and kit. 😐

Don’t think the 30mm was made obsolete, I may be wrong but I don’t think it was never listed as an available spare in the first place.
