ParticipantHi all
Is anyone else getting problems with qualtex and backorders taking longer and longer to come into stockFebruary 5, 2015 at 10:41 pm #424419stratfordgirl

Not yet.. but I’ve not used Qualtex as much since they increased postage charges. I’ve always found them the best of the wholesalers for special orders.

I ordered a beko washing machine start pause plastic button actuator. It took 2 mths. They are not good on special order beko parts.

Moral of the story: Steer clear of relying on wholesalers to supply special order stuff. Go out and find it yourself or you’ll lose a customer and a lot of goodwill with it!

I was told a couple of weeks ago that Qualtex was not ordering specials from Beko as they were taking an exceptionally long time to come. Everything else that I have specialed with them recently has come in a reasonable time.

Qualtex are sending these out to try get a bit more business from us.. they have seen a reduced amount of business since, and probably due to, the recinding of the 4pm cut-off for ordering.. If they want to get more orders they only need to re-instate the 4pm cut-off for orders.
Qualtex in their wisdom have started sticking lables on everything with their retail website on them… I used to order near all my stock from Qualtex until they started doing this.. I now order mainly from other companies that are just as cheap, but don’t place advertising all over the product.
As well as being a repairer, I run a shop…
Trade & Repairs .. I do not want advertisements my trade stock meaning I must then take the product out of the bag before getting to the customers house.
Retail stock I’m not in the habit of holding stock that has advertising for a website that will take customers away from my shop to order from Qualtex directly on their website.
I want my customers to return to my shop, not to be directed to someone else.. I also wish my customers to see that a part is being fitted and not to start querying which part or could I have got it cheaper
I hope they see this and take note..
Total local spares ordering for past 6 months £3,012.22.. Qualtex got less than 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of thatApril 27, 2016 at 11:50 am #424427kwatt

Agreed on the packing, the order cut off doesn’t bother me just as much.
I have mentioned this to the current rep we have for Qualtex and that it is affecting what we order from them quite dramatically but they don’t really seem to be all that interested in doing anything about it.
I think we now have about halved the business we were doing with Qualtex, largely due to this alone.

According to the conversation I have just had, the desision was with Phil Hulme.. he wants the website out there..
Does he really not realise that this is the worst possible way of them doing this as their trade sales will drop with all retailers?April 27, 2016 at 4:05 pm #424429Martin

Idea: Why not cover the offending advertising with your own label?

ParticipantRe: Qualtex
Why have to do that when the manufacturers label is already on the box?

ParticipantRe: Qualtex
The trouble is, the labels that Qualtex have put on, have covered the part numbers on the packaging, so something has to be done..
To correct this, since the labels would damage the packaging if torn off, as you have suggested a label could be over-placed.. however, the labels they have place onto the packaging of the smaller items is so large, and no care has been taken about where the label has been put, or how tidy it may be, to place a label over the top of it would make it look really tacky.
Notwithstanding this, I do not care to take the time to re-label all the parts with multiple part numbers, taking up valuable time that could be spent out repairing -
