ParticipantAre they still having problems? last 2 orders took 3 days to come, no good when customers are waiting!

ParticipantYep exactly the reason i moved to Maddocks.
Qualtex dont do a next day delivery, Maddocks do.
Qualtex cut off 3pm, Maddocks 4pm.
Qualtex minimum spend before free delivery £100, Maddocks’s £60.Now exclusively Between Maddocks and ebay if required

ParticipantI ordered on Tuesday 11am and only now been told there is a delay as they are busy with this time of year. My parcel will not arrive to me at the earliest Monday. This means fitting of parts on Tuesday a week after first visit. I could of ordered on ebay with next day delivery for only a few quid more and kept my customer happy

never had that sort of delay but 48 hrs is getting common
its getting to the point of not being able to trust parts will arrive for rush jobs ao I end up paying more from somewhere else but at least they arrive
also had silly delivery times from carrier like between 5:15 and 6:15 and we close at 4:30 mad !!

ParticipantThis reply 3 days after order
We are very sorry for the delay on this order, we have received it and it is currently in line to be picked and packed.
Unfortunately we are experiencing a very busy time of year and this is causing some delays in the warehouse.
We are doing our best to get this order too you as soon as possible.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.Kind Regards

Moderatorwould be interesting to see how many traders are going elsewhere. I haven’t yet as the longest delay I have had is 2 days but if I want part quickly I have to think of paying extra and ordering from someone else. As for being busy we all know in the trade it gets busy from September to Christmas so to me this a a lack of business planning
Would like to see Qualtex more active in these forums. I know they have access and monitor things so lets have more input and up to date information.
Also why am I paying overnight transport costs when it takes 3 days to get to me ?

Participantmore and more I find myself looking away from the wholesalers, just today I needed a seal for a Rangemaster Connect trade £11.61+ vat Amazon £8.65 inc vat and delivery. it might well be three days delivery whereas Connect are next day but at such price differences the wait is worth it. same last week LG door interlock a good £3 cheaper with no minimum order or delivery charge. as long as you have a good base of cooker elements and carbons etc the minimum order delivery charge and price differences are making the big boys also rans

ModeratorI’ve started using ASWO alot lately stock is improving week by week and have 3 options for delivery which is fantastic and they are trade only like maddocks, Aswo are the cheapest for Vesttel built products by a long way

KeymasterMaddocks are not trade only.
They sell on eBay and Amazon.
Disguised yes, but they do.
ASWO do not.

ParticipantI’ve had no issues with deliveries from Qualtex Denton this week – one order on Sunday evening delivered on Tuesday, another order on Thursday afternoon delivered on Friday. So they’ve hopefully cleared their backlog now.
