ParticipantIs anybody else having problems with Qualtex deliveries.
I sent an order off on Tuesday lunchtime, hoping for next day delivery with parts that customers are waiting for and it still hasn’t arrived.
I messaged Thursday and got no response and again last night.
I got a bit of a snotty email back to take a look at their website where they say “we aim to despatch your order within 48 hours blah blah blah” and the order is still in the picking stage. Later today it will 96 hours…
I asked for it to be cancelled as it hadn’t been sent out yet, so that I can reorder with a more reliable company, to which they replied it cannot be cancelled because it is in the picking stage.
I have asked for the contact details of a supervisor or account manager and got fobbed off again to be told he would pass on the message. Absolutely no niceties or apologies, just a this is how it is, like it or lump it….They are an absolute farce. For an order sent through on Tuesday lunch to not even be guaranteed a Friday despatch at the most important time of the year. At the very earliest if it does get dispatched today, which I’m not sure it will, I’ll get it Monday, nearly a week later.
I’ve got angry customers who just don’t understand when they could have probably got the parts quicker using Qualtex retail sites or next day on Amazon.
We are getting a real bum deal in this.
Sorry for the angry rant

Daive would you like to add a response to this 😕
have tagged David to hopefully give you an answer. have you got an account manager ?
yes its no longer over night delivery and to be fair has not been for some time
look into Aswo they use DHL and are very good although prices arnt quite so keen
there was another thread about this a while ago
https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/forum/trade-member-forums/trade-forums/general-trade-forum/872386-qualtex-customer-serviceI do think Q has a long way to go to get there service back where it was. the lack of being able to use the phone makes things hard. Its true to say they have lost lots of orders from me because of no stock, no special orders or little no easy tech support. have waited days sometimes for part info whereas I can ring Aswo on a freephone number

We apologise this has happened, I believe Steve has contacted you this morning to discuss and explain.
if you would like to discuss anything else further or you haven’t had a response you can contact Steve or alternatively you can send myself a message on here.
For general information on yesterdays issue, some workers cut through our fibre lines at about 11am, An engineer was sent out on high priority and they finally fixed the lines around 16:00.
Kind Regards,
David. Qualtex.

ParticipantIt could be worse – Miele are quoting 7 working days for parts deliveries now. My order from Miele 8 days ago is still not despatched… I find most customers understand times are difficult if you keep them in the loop, but unforeseen delays do play havoc with schedules.

Now it would seem that having spoken to Steve, after having placed my rant online an hour earlier because I was getting nowhere on email, about the quality of service, he has today closed my account.
We had a conversation about the issues and he accepted it wasn’t good enough and that hopefully the parcel would be sent out on Friday which indeed it was. I received it the Saturday, having ordered on Tuesday morning.
So just a word of warning to anybody, you are not allowed to mention Qualtex’s service and how bad it has been. Even allowing for me being in the business for 31 years and using them for most of their existence, you cannot criticise them on an open engineers forum. Its no big loss to be honest I’ve been using them less and less over the last few years due to stock issues, backorder issues, their new statement and online payment issues and no telephone support plus the fact they now cannot guarantee delivery within 4 days.
But just for people that actually do want to keep an account, don’t mention Qualtex or you know the consequences.

ParticipantThe silence says it all.
To be honest, if it is the same Dave, Dave Spragge (Web content Manager), that emailed me to inform me of the closure, he says in a previous email when I asked for a reason, “Unfortunately I’m unsure on the reason, I was asked to advise you of this by our sales manager”

which is a pity as a lot of customers are beginning to think when will it be their turn to get axed and the ones that have been are still wondering why

ParticipantOrdered parts from Qualtex and Maddocks on Friday morning last week.
Maddocks parts turned up the next day on Saturday.
It’s now Thursday and I’m still waiting for the Qualtex delivery which I’m told will be todayI haven’t used Qualtex for ages as their delivery time is so poor.
I thought I’d try them again but I’m regretting it!The lesson here is don’t use Qualtex for customer repairs!, to replenish van stock maybe.
Impossible to believe now but for years and years I used to use them exclusively as my only supplier!, times have changed but I would quickly be out of business if I used them now!

ParticipantI feel your pain. Exactly my experience, I would be out of business if had only used Qualtex.
Hopefully the Qualtex forum watchers don’t report you to the sales manager and you get your account closed like me.
To be honest the only thing I miss them for is the ability to get find manufacturers part numbers.
Connect, Maddock’s and Aswo offer way better service all round.

it seems strange that you have your account closed when you make a complaint
as for part numbers they are a lot easier to get these days

ParticipantIt looks to me that as long as you are no bother they will let you be. But otherwise, beware! A while back, I had the misfortune to mess up my password change and when I asked for help, they closed my account because I was not ordering enough from them.
When it’s the best option, I sometimes still get parts from Qualtex (via eBay, they come in a partcentre bag these days). Of course it’s much more expensive than when I used my account and delivery is slow, which still riles me because I’m literally 1 mile up the road and used to go there to pick up parts same day.

Moderatorit seems a strange business model where you get rid of your customers for trivial reasons
be interesting to see if Qualtex attends the next whitegoods conference. These questions need to be put to them
would be intersting to know if they are accepting new customers or not
