Q1. About 12 months ago the machine started to make a banging noise when spinning. After a month or so with it getting worse ( about 10 washes ) I took the top off to see if it was anything obvious and the nuts holding the concrete block on the top were loose. I took them off, applied some thread lock and retightened them. I then checked the machine to make sure it was level and it was. Its happening again now. Is there something else that is causing the nuts to unscrew that I need to check ?

Q2. At the start of every wash ( we mainly use 40 degrees) no matter what temperature the wash is set for the machine seems to sit there, do nothing and grumble as though its trying to pump water from a dry pipe. After a couple of minutes it just shuts up and starts to fill from the cold water supply. I’ve checked both water supplies and hoses into a bucket and they are both operational. The hot supply is from a combi boiler thats 10 feet away in case that makes any difference. It doesnt effect the wash quality but surely cant be normal ?

Q3. When we close the door at the start of the wash it closes and ‘locks’ ie you cant pull it open but the door open light flashes until you give it a bang with your knee somewhere close to the lock. Then the light goes out and it operates ok for the entire wash ? New door lock needed ?

    1. The bolts do occasionally work loose, difficult to stop if they keep coming loose, over tightening may break the mounting lugs off anyway, the outer drum lugs may have become worn due to weight being loose.

    2. The drain pump runs for several seconds at the start of every wash cycle, then it fills cold for a short while, it then switches to hot fill or mixed fill dependant on programme selection.

    3. It may just need a new spring in the door latch.
