I have a guide to designing kitchens and am currently re-writing it. I’m just on the appliances chapter and, of course, can rely on you guys for some inside info … I often give you a plug (have just done so on Twitter).

I thought I’d mention ISE appliances, so popped over to update myself … but have ended up a bit confused.

I’ve seen an ISE2 washing machine for sale … but you don’t mention it here. Have you abandoned your objective for longevity, or is the aim to provide some repair work? ( 😀 sorry!). And why is the ISE5 washing machine discontinued?

I’m sure it’s been mentioned on here somewhere – but that may have been in the trade parts of the forum … and the ISE website seems to be a bit out of date.

    Re: Question about ISE

    Hi Majjie,

The range is undergoing a bit of an overhaul at the moment, largely due to the massive impact that the value of Sterling is having.

The ISE10 range is static for now and, as yet, there are to be no price increases but that may happen due to the Euro value. It doesn’t just affect machines but also the raw materials, components and shipping costs.

The ISE5 is, for the moment, suspended as the price increase on more stock was just not bearable, it was a 20-30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} price hike.

The ISE2 was a cut down machine, just a basic machine for light duties essentially, but we’re re-inventing that later this month.

All the manufacturers are in a state of chaos at the moment because of the devaluation of the Pound against most other currencies and, the ones that matter where appliances are concerned are the Euro and the Dollar mainly as that’s the currencies that most are bought with.

    Re: Question about ISE

Thanks K … yes that does help. I can well imagine everything’s a nightmare at the moment for suppliers. I’m going to add a section to my appliance guide to say that everything is likely to change in the near future!
