    Hi All,

I have been browsing the forum and understand there is a Fridge Freezer Thermistor Removal Kit where 2 wires are shorted connected to the thermistor to resolve a restart problem with the compressor for this fridge.
Can someone tell me what the implication of performing this function is? I understand the thermistor is a sensitive resistor and determines fluctuations in temp etc. Does this mean the compressor will run constantly or is there a functionality in the thermostat that is equivalent to the thermistor in this fridge? The fridge is old yes but still in perfect condition and I’m slow to say goodbye 😀
Effectively the symptoms are that the compressor runs from power on faultlessly but when the cold temp is reached it turns off and does not turn on again. Ive been playing with it over the last few days and the only way to get compressor to start again is to press the super frost button and open and close the fridge door not the freezer door. For some weird reason this reinitiates the compressor. Nothing else but cycling the power on/off works. Many Thanks in advance
