Just been to a Bosh WAE24166gb/06 and found an open circuit inlet solenoid. I’ve replaced the solenoid with a universal one from my van but now the m/c overfills, and the valve is energised even when the programme is paused.
Is this because I need to order the correct part or a board fault likely ?

It could be the faulty valve took out the triac on the PCB. Best you take a close look at the PCB surface components. 💡
