To cut long to short. A fisher paykel dishdrawer that f1’s I found some corrosion on the very corner of the mains/flood pcb cleaned it up and the f1 went away tested it and it was fine got a call back it had gone again so i checked everything found no problems and it just worked… So I left then 30mins later I get another call, it’s gone f1 again…
Can any one help as I’ll be getting a call any time off this one.
Also how does the machine sense the water level as when you switch off full of water and start it up it emptys really slow but leaves loads in the fills up even more yet when it f1’s it emptys fastOctober 30, 2006 at 5:54 pm #193729kandl-appliancerepair

If you turn the power off to the machine first.
Then if you remove the lower tub, push the grey runners in on the side, te drawer will pull out.F1 is a water leak, if there is no water in there that you can see, remove the PCB cover, dry the PCB area with a hair dryer and try again.
The water level is senced by the little silver strip on the actual PCB , so if it gets wet it can blow, you may need to change the lower board.
these machines do drain slow, i often think there faulty when there draining – but its just the way they work!
If it is leaking from somewhere, the lid motors are a possible reason, or foam is a BIG problem with these machines, if there is to much foam in there, that will cause F1.
Is the machine syphoning? check the drain hose is above the water level of the top tub.the lid motors should take 6/7 seconds to lower, if they take any longer they may not be shutting correctly. – also is there anything that might be to big in there, like a large plate?
