Quiet Dishwasher

Hi,

Our 10 year old Zanussi has given up the ghost. So I want a replacement, I want a quieter machine and have been looking at the specs of the AEG F80860 and the Bosch LOGIXX 65L22 rated at 41Db and 49Db respectively I know that decibel ratings mean that the AEG should be a LOT quieter than the Bosch. I suspect either will be a lot quieter than our old machine… Water usage is also an issue for us..

We have a couple of Bosch appliances already a Washing Machine and Freezer and I think in general they are very good quality, but I know nothing about AEG does anyone have any unbiased advice for me?

Bosch is a good machine but the Miele ones are some of the quietest Ive heard and quality is top notch also.

I looked up the Mieles, they look good and at 48Db slighly quieter than the Bosch.

However the AEG F80860 is 41Db which is a lot (or should be) quieter as Db is a logarythmic (sp) scale … Of course we should treat manufacturers claims with a bit of cynicism …

I still likethe look of AEG but just worried about reliability ? any ideas on their quality?
