ParticipantMorning – we’re trying to decide on a new range cooker, for our new kitchen.
We’re trying to decide on 90cm or 100cm width. We haven’t finalized the kitchen cabinet design, and so have some flexibility…
Our requirements are: Dual Fuel (gas hob, electric oven), Black, Catalytic oven linings. We’re particularly concerned about oven volume, as we often cook 2 joints/etc.
Trying to think if 90cm- 1 grill, 1 main oven, 1 long tall oven or 100cm- 2 ovens, 1 grill, 1 storage/warming is better….
Any other suggestions for makes/models/etc would be most helpful. We have a flexible budget of £1200.

Hi meggles
Your flexible budget would have to increase a little if you are after a reasonable appliance like Rangemaster who are probably about the best under 2k. Over this figure then you are into Falcon, Brittania etc.
Another option is to have two single ovens side by side under the worktop and a large gas hob above in the worktop.
Have a look around your local currys and Comet at the sizes of ovens which will have the oven capacities on the energy labels for you to be able to compare.
HTH 🙂

also check the clearance you need for opening the door.I had a rangemaster and had to allow a few more cms for this as it was in a corner

Can you please explain why Rangemaster is so much better than other makes?

Its all down to build quality and the quality of parts used, Rangemaster are easily better than their competitors, if you can afford one its an absolute no brainer.

and the parts are actually quite affordable when you need them.
personally id stick a 110 in there – more choice and better oven space, and lose the single width wine cooler that kitchen designers seem to love poking into their designs 🙂
