Went to fit gen motor A097769.
Problem is there is a brass bit that has a thread in it that sticks through from oven and stops the plate being fitted level. I cant see what purpose this bit with the thread in it serves and wonder if it is ok to get rid of it . The old motor has a hole in the fitting for this brass bit to go through.

just use yr mole grips on it, a bit of leverage will snap it off. serves no purpose and hole will be covered by motor plate.
