Hi, been out to the above Rangemaster Classic 110 all electric range cooker for various issues such as grill elements down to earth and main oven fan not running. One of the problems is the internal cooling fan is constantly on and the customer has to turn the whole range cooker off at the wall switch when not using it.
Had a look and noticed there is a small blue box fitted at the back with an electronic module inside. On the casing of the box it says something along the lines of electronic fan control. The box is very similar to what would be a spark generator on the duel fuel version. Am I barking up the right tree thinking this is the likely cause of the fan to be constantly on? And if so, it looks like it could be a job and a half to route the wiring back into situation under the ceramic top so my other intended solution was to solder the existing wiring in place on the new module which would save me demolishing the entire range cooker.

Anybody got any ideas please?

dont know this cooker but picking up on your description of the fault

since the fan would have to be triggered somehow it may not be the board

the fan will have to be switched on by the board with either a relay or a triac look for short circuits

had a problem finding you model no. there are lots of classic110 cookers but there seems to be a 4 digit number in front
ie 5818 classic 110 DF NG claret

have a look at the grill energy regulator and disconnect it to either prove its the issue or at least eliminate it.
