RANGEMASTER COOKER

    hi can anybody help had a call to yesterday to go see a rangemaster cooker. What would couse the nutral wire to burn on the conection point were cooker cable connects to the cooker. it has burnt so bad it nearly went alight i cant tell if it was a loose connection . just woundering if anybody had seen this before . ❓ FLASH

    Did a nasty Menghetti range thing last week where the connector block was so badly burnt that it had carbonised into the live. Old house, wire fuses – big bang. I suspect that it was just poor connecting in the first place. If you want the connections tight, use a straight bladed screwdriver.

    in the good old days you never saw a terminal block burn when they had proper M6 or 1/4 whitworth bolts clamping the cable. progress Im afraid

    Thanks. Ill put a new connector block and tighten every thing up and hope for the best thanks again FLASH ❗
