    range master 90 classic cooker with ceramic hob two main double rings only working on small inner element as i have not worked on one before is there any thing i should be aware of hidden screws connections ect before i remove the glass hob. thanks fasetester

    Isn’t that the type that requires you to turn the selector switch clockwise until it clicks, before the larger outer element comes on?

    As far as I know Paul you turn it clockwise for the main ring anticlock wise for inner ring does the side panels have to be removed to remove hob or is the screws at the front thanks fasetester

    Can’t remember with any certainty how you take the top off.

    Shouldn’t the example you describe turn both rings on in one direction, and only one ring on in the other direction?

    thanks paul that would be the way it works clockwise switches the whole element anticlockwise inner element the model no is u1 381 01 serial no 6835 001177 anyone have info on how the hob is removed thanks fasetester

    Look for a rubber disc either side on the top of the side panel near the front ,pop them off to reveal a Philips screw ,take screw out deck hinges up
    If no rubbers then side panels off to remove screw
