Rangemaster induction fault er31

Hi.
I have changed the 4 burner generator in my rangemaster 100 cooker and now have the code er31 on the display. Does anyone have the configuration codes?

its not a code its a sequence of movements on the control knobs as far as i know

have you asked where you bought the part from as they must know you cant fit without

I have managed to configure it myself using the information you gave in another post for a Falcon cooker…. I just had to use the knobs at the other end for my cooker.

yes think they both use the same electronics

its mad someone will supply you the parts without the info to fit it. Glad you found that post as i had forgotten about that and that info is at work so could not reproduce at home.

Hi Tom, Dave,
Would love to know what configuration sequence you used.
I had two induction plates showing code E6. An electrician has just replaced the power board (as Rangemaster themselves and various bits of googling suggested). Now none of the 5 plates work as Er31 is flashing away. My electrician has now scarpered. I’ve contacted Rangemaster as well who’ll hopefully send me the sequence but would be grateful if you could share the sequence you got to work.
My cooker’s a 7 year old Professional Plus 90.

Thank you. Rangemaster have confirmed the same (although using the two right hand knobs [front right and back right hob plates]). Unfortunately it’s not done the job and Er31 is continuing to flash away. Electrician is returning to investigate further. Thanks for your help

I have just had a very similar problem with a Rangemaster 110 Nexus Induction Range cooker. The main 4 ring Induction pcb developed a fault with the power supply to one of the cooling fans. I replaced the board and after putting it all back together I got the er31 error on the display. After trying the procedure mentioned in this thread and failing, I started looking through YouTube and eventually found what I was looking for. I great guy has posted a video showing the configuration procedure for the slightly newer models. It is similar but not the same. You need to pay close attention to turning and releasing the knows at just the right time. I did what he did and bingo it all started working.
