got rangemaster sxs fridge to look at, fault reported is that it runs for few hours then trips the electrics then cant turn it on on as will trip electrics straight away put if leave for couple hours then turn on it will stay for up to 6 hrs then goes off again, am i right in thinking be problem with defrost etc

Hi
This model is DXD910 and it is made by Haire.
It has two door openers for the fridge left & right and two pullout drawes for the freezer compartmentIt could be one of the following parts:
0064001224 Ice Maker – (if it has defrost element on the underside of the ice maker body)
0060815377 Finned evaporator – comes with defrost element
0064000965 E-Damper for refrigerator Vent – can jam and get hot
You may need to check the door wires which go throught the top left hinge bracket as they can rub and chaf on the metal work when the door is opened to the fridge.If this has happened, a new door is required but make sure you order the correct one as the connector blocks are different
This is a very simple unit to work on and not had much problems apart from the odd compressor and plastic parts breaking.
