    Can anyone tell me the maximum rated current for insulation displacement connectors. I thought that the maximum rating was 5 Amps.

    Yesterday I had an AEG dishwasher (pnc91123454800) where the tube heater had caught fire. It seemed as if the problem started at the heater connector.

    Any thoughts

    it’s still 5Amps but if for some reason the wire was cut close to the connection you will have dozens of Amps sparkling around and that was the reason way it cought fire.
