Got a Belling Cooker. Large Halogen Element 1st only worked full On all the time inner element not working at all. Replaced Regulator Halogen outer now switching in and out ok by the looks but Inner section still not working. Took Halogen Assembly out Done a resitance check on Inner element contacts going in and reading ok. Put it all back together with volt meter att no voltage getting to inner element. Tried another Regulator still the same is it the Halogen unit ? Anyone had the same cheers

Need to leave it on for quite a while, Halogen lamp outer lights immediately but inner radiant coil takes longer to get red and is very hard to see with the bright outer ring. You sure regulator was wired correctly? What type of regulator have you fitted?

Regulator fitted exact same as replaced (Diamond type) and wired correctly cheers. Placed pan of water on Halogen, boiled ok cut out but inner element not switching in even after leaving to cool for a long period. Original fault was Halogen worked full on even when lowest setting selected. New Regulator cured this so Halogen would go out on lowest setting and work correctly throughout the range setting.

are you sure you fitted the right regulator for this machine as have had ones where people have connected single regulators to a double circuit, not that i think ur a numpty or anything 😆 just worth double checking as you cured 1 fault and maybe created another hope this helps
