Just serviced the pump and hoses – lots of gunks to clean out!

Re-assembled and tested – there is not a leak from the join between the hoses and pump assembly.

Should there be a seal? It does feel as if there is more movement than I’d expect.

assume its the sump hose on a washing machine where it connects to the pump.

if you put the clip back in exactly the same place its more likely to leak as the rubber hose is compressed at that point
take the hose off again, clean it inside then put it back with the clip slightly further forward or back off the original grooves

    Thanks Dave for the reply.

However I don’t think its a hose clip. I checked all the hoses and clips for leaks. No sigh of water.

But there is at the ‘twist’ join of the black filter/hose onto the white pump. I’ve uploaded an image of the assembly.

if you stripped the base off the pump housing (the white part) then yes there should be an o ring that sits around the circumference of the base, if it is still there check it hasn’t been “nipped” up

Thanks. appears I’ve put the o-ring on the wrong side!

I’ll try it the right way round.
