ParticipantHi got a call 2 An Integrated Bosch with the Plastic Dome type Flood Protection System Inside the Tub. Usual thing water in base lifting float ect. Found water running down the Dome float unit (Seems a poor design for Bosch) Replaced Dome float with the new seal and all seemed ok. When the DW started up filled ok but seems to Drain sometimes at the same time as washing in small pulses. Got what looks like a metering take where the normal chamber sits and its held on by 2 metal bars from front to back. Not all the water drains just small amounts. Probably someone seen hundreds like this. Just does not feel correct. Fills, Heats, ok Cheers

Transfer pipe from the pressure chamber, and the pressure chamber itself will probably be gunged up. A good strip and clean will usually sort it.

ParticipantDon’t think this model has a pressure chamber as it uses a timed fill/level sensor method of water metering.
I’d check the level float/sensor in the sump to see if its bunged up. A good flush through with some hot water is normally enough to clear any muck. If you remove the float , make sure you note which way it came out.
Its located under a little cover in about the 5 o’clock position under the filter plate/water sump.
If its all gunged up and sticky , it may not be rising as the water enters the tub and thus the machine overfills…hence the operation of the flood potection system/mushroom float in short bursts

Does the machine actually do a cycle? Or does it wash and pulse drain and not progress any further?
Why I’m asking is because I have repaired three of this model in the last month and noticed on all of them when testing on the quick program it does do what I think your describing.
As in, the pump runs for a split second whilst the machine circulates. (Periodically).
(As Nomadpaul says do check float in sump. This is done from inside the machine not from underneath, in case you were wondering? Grey plastic side of the float at the top if you remove it.)

take the magnet float out of the base and clean it, it will have iron fileings stuck to it weighing it down. There is a new mushroom float and pcb available for the appliancve with the magnet fitted (188106) looing inside the tank the magnet and cover is located at the 6 oclock position.
