    Model is LEC TF3404W

    Our freezer is approaching 6 months old.
    Its been fine up to now.

    Just recently its begun to cycle once every 24 hours (roughly) from -20 to -11. This takes about 35 mins to complete.

    We have had two engineer visits. The engineer today has replaced the thermostat, and changed the gas valve.

    He said the temperature will go up and down.
    Surely this isnt right, is it?

    I was led to beleive that action should be taken when the temp rises above -15.

    The fridge part is ok.

    Should I ditch the freezer, or is this something that can be fixed?

    No, it shouldn’t cycle that far to be honest.

    6 months old ??

    As it’s still under guarantee, ask Lec to send an engineer again 😉
