re lg direct drive washing machine,

hi have a lg wm14316fd direct drive ,on its final spin everything shut down,all lights etc,checked fuse in plug ok,so took back off ,all wireing checked ok,found module board,it had a fuse on it,was covered in a gell,cleaned off the ends ,and tested it,had blown,had some glass fuses ,as i repair tvs,and piggy backed solderd one on it.switched on machine ,but it blew fuse sraight away,any help why this happening please,as was a great machine before this thanks.

fixed a lg a while back similar fault. turned out the diode rectifier on the pcb had gone short once replaced and new fuse fitted it was ok.

Hi

Place pcb in a shallow saucepan of boiling water and simmer away and that will melt the gel.

yeah we dug drilled we tried everything then solderd new one into place 🙂 had a few machines like this with same problem in the past but ran out of spare pcb’s
