Got a Smeg Dual fuel Range type Model A1 no 42812865 tripping (with a large flash / bang each time) from the Oven / Grill selector switch. Have isolated by disconnecting wires to elements fans ect still trips the same Would it be just the selector swith needs replacing thanks

They had a fault with the multi plug connector shorting out top left looking from the front.
Is the selector switch damaged.what else is connected to the selector switch ?

Is it when you switch the main power supply on or when you turn the selector switch ?

Have you used a meter to look for the short ?

Sequence is switch on Cooker. Set timer, Select oven with Selector switch then Bangs and Trips large Flash from selector switch. Even with each item disconnected 1 by 1 still same result. Meggered each item comes up ok.
