ParticipantHi All,
I am in need of a tumble dryer due to additional laundry that amasses when having a new baby. 😯
Unfortunately now we do not seem to have enough radiators in the house on which to put all the additional clothes and with winter closing, it could get messy!
I have a 600mm space in the kitchen for the dryer to go but am unable to put in the prefferred vented option (already checked the other various forums), therefore would need to follow the condenser solution.
The Bosch or Hotpoint models have been the ones that we have been looking at to date, if you have any ‘points to watch’, I would be most grateful.
We are looking to spend around £250-£300 and would like to get one that will last. Are there any reccomendations?

😀The Hotpoint CTD00 comes in white, a beige colour they call sandstone and graphite which is a silver grey is a basic 7kg machine with two heat settings and easy to empty water container. The CTD40 in all the colours is exactly the same fabric but has 12 hour time delay, end of cycle alarm but it does cost more. can be seen here http://www.hotpoint.co.uk
Then there is the Bosch WTE84107GB which has been produced to a higher standard, with easy to read programme text and a large door opening this really has to be the one. Comes with a two year guarantee too. can be seen here http://www.boschappliances.co.uk
A visit to your`e local retailer should prove fruitful 😉

Bosch & Hotpoint, = chalk & cheese. get the blackboard out, not the cheeseboard. 😉

you might consider 6th Sense Whirpool condenser dryer. I have one, which has been great. It handles lage and heavy loads well and has a wrinkle prevention mode. Most of my husband’s shirts no longer have to be ironed! It is about 8 years old and untill this week, troublefree. The belt broke, which is easy to fix if I can find a repair manual to get inside the thing!
Congratulations on the little one. Much happiness to you.October 31, 2005 at 3:34 pm #152103MrC

No need, it’s a fine machine after all. Just do take time to read the User Manual and carry out the necessary regular filter cleaning procedures etc etc. 😉
