ParticipantHi All
Sadly 😥 (Due to government reform)we are about to close our FRN approved workshop and I will be made redundant 😕 .
We have a small lorry load of stuff to dispose of ie 20+ machines (various) which are BER (£25 repair limit)to us but could still be repaired and sold . There is also huge quantity of stripped spares (mostly fridge shelving drawers etc but piles of hob ceramic rings , cooker doors boxes of stripped w/m parts etc) .
If your interested in clearing this at the end of November 2015 from a Somerset location please let me know asap .
Guess I had better start looking at the job sites looks like Im going back on the road .October 21, 2015 at 3:25 pm #431790Dales-Electronic

Sad to hear this and hope you manage to secure another job switfly, what are the new government restrictions that you speak of? I have no doubt that we will all be interested to know. Take care out there ~ Ian.

Thanks . They are not restrictions directly things are never that simple .
Housing associations have been hit hard lately and most are cutting back to core business . Reforms to benefits and housing cost along with the right to buy has many housing associations worried .
The association I supply has 3 large FRN approved stores in 3 counties and my workshop in Somerset . Supplying used furniture and appliances at affordable prices to members of the public and tenants . All stores and workshop close at the end of November , a sudden change in strategy in order to protect the future of the association . The savings from us will be small as we are breaking even but its part a £4m cost saving plan .I would really like to find someone to take these raw machines and/or stripped stock as I can see it being scrapped after November . Seeing how many request there are here for RAW I thought I’d get my arm bit off . Anyone !
