Red light on

Hi.

I have an Indesit integrated freezer and the red light is staying on constantly.

I have removed all the contents and completely defrosted it. I then switched it back on at the maximum number, but it is only as cold as a fridge.

The one thing I did notice is that the top freezer tubing has frozen up. It is like there is a blockage to the rest of the tubing.

I spoke with Indesit and they said the only thing that they can offer is to send an engineer out.

Is there something I could do myself?

The other thing I have noticed as well is that there is a sound of water moving, which I didn’t notice before.

Hi

It does sound like you have an internal gas leak and what you can hear is the remainder of the gas running around the system. Which is why only part of the pipework is getting cold.

Of course only an engineers visit can confirm this. Have you tried our find an engineer function
