Hi all. Been searching the forum for solutions to my Ignis 348 dishwasher problems and it seems that I need to change the reed switch. Can any1 tell me where this switch is located on the dishwasher and how I get to it please as there are no repair manuals available to show how this is done. I have taken the side and bottom panels off the dishwasher and can see no leeks. The water starts flowing into the machine for approx 20 seconds and then it switches to rinse and empties. Any Ideas ? Please Help..

    Thanks

    Jacquie

    Re: reed switch

Reed switch is normally found on side of regeneration tank.

    Hi

More likely the fault is the main wash pump leaking. Is there water in the base of the machine ?

    Thanks Seamy.
Will I have to take the tank off to get to the switch or is it possible to get the switch out without taking the tank off.

should’nt need to remove tank, think it just slots in, but as already mentioned its hardly the problem

OMG There is water in the base of the machine so it probably is the wash pump. Is this a job I could fix myself because there is no way I could afford a repiar person.

    Thanks for both your replies.

I would advise an engineer visit as we have no knowledge of your capabilities and also it is water and electricity which do not mix if incorrectly carried out.
