I’m about to reassemble my washing machine (Siemens WM5020) after stripping it down and giving it a thorough clean inside (it was gunged up with limescale).

Does anyone have any tips on how to rehang the tub onto the three springs?

It was quite fiddly to remove as there’s not really enough space inside to manoeuvre the tub relative to the springs without bending the springs. I don’t want the springs to be bent permanently out of shape.

If you use the coil part of the spring as the leverage point, they will pop back quite easily.

Next time, take the front off – it’ll save you pulling the tank.

Thanks for this, I’ll give it a try. I did actually take the front off as well but it was still very fiddly. I needed to remove the tub completely from the chassis as it was much easier to clean it on the bench rather than in situ.
