Hi guys. Im being sent on a refrigerant handling c&g course next week.
Been fixing fridges for years.
I cant remember the number of the course, but wondering what to expect.
Anyone been to one recently
Thanks … Den
Its everyday stuff, with a few technical words. Recovery of the refrigerant and how to use the rig is paramount of course. When I did it the morning was spent going through the requirements and the afternoon set aside for theory and practical.
If its C&G it tends to based on Commercial refrigeration with huge quantities and sight glasses and access valves and stuff that left me baffled and confused. Of course the handling itself is universal so its well worth doing but the practical side of it was all on equipment I knew nothing about. still passed it though. Best of luck.
Hi 🙂
I’ve been looking at this course, is the course a legal requirment to work on system faults or can you work on them as long as you recover and dispose of the refrigerant properly ❓
thanks mark
Thanks for the replies. Done the course, quite interesting really.
Had to do practical .. recovery, regass, etc. Then answer about 120 questions, which you must get every one of them right. (a little prompting by the questioner was given when stuck with any). And passed !
Now terrified to use r600 after seeing nice explosive videos.
