relay supplier

can anyone recomend a supplier that i can order a relay from. the relay i require is branded ERA, this isnt something i usually get involved with but im a bit curious with this job im on so in having a bash!!

yes sorry, its off a hotpoint condenser dryer,its a era and the numbers i can read on it are : Typ El 30/18, BV 030-8180.0 08/02T
not sure if they are relevent,

just been out to my van to get model number its a tdc 62 i think the relay on the dryness module is faulty & the customer is going to buy a new machine due to the cost of the module so im curious to see if i can replace it, if i can obtain the same one,

If you’re not sure it’s the relay that’s faulty, you can make up a tester to put DC 12v or 24v (as appropriate) across the coil terminals and use a battery test lamp to see if it works. It’s not an infallible test but will show up a definite dud. If it passes but you’re still suspicious, cut the plastic cover away with a sharp craft knife to reveal the contacts inside. (You can often do all this with the relay left in circuit.) If they look even slightly burnt, it’s worth trying a replacement. Note all logos, numbers and ratings before attacking the old one!

I’m puzzled as to why EMW & QER will not repair the Hotpoint dryness modules, could they know something that we don’t?

I asked Tony at EMW a while back on the subject and I believe he said something about corrupted chips and not being able to re-programme them? 😕

Top tip mike ill remeber that one about testing relays all easy when you know how, on the subject does anyone know if those large block type resistors can be ordered from i think without going to fetch a board there 7.2k large block type off service boards that when go open circuit cause no drum action faults, iv seen a few newer type service modules as well as the older type with the same open resistor fault, that sit in parallel.
